These optical instruments are capable of analysing defects and non-uniformities in various target surfaces, ranging from human tissue to engineering structures. Non-contact and non-destructive testing allows the identification of both surface and sub-surface structural anomalies which allows pre-failure action to be taken to rectify the fault. Full data capture facilities allow data archiving for future referencing. The Vacuum Hood includes a closed loop controlled vacuum system that enables the operator to load the surface in order to detect defects within the structure. Additionally, optional adaptors are available allowing the system to be used with a heat source. |
